Call Out: Looking for actors /extras for scripted scenarios in e-learning project

Maitree (www.maitreehouse.com) are looking for diverse actors to play down to earth support workers and other roles in an e-learning project helping NDIS workers understand how to support people to enjoy safe and enjoyable mealtimes (and why it’s important!).
AVAILABLE ROLES - These are the characters as they are written in the script. We are open to all ages, genders and cultural backgrounds and are aiming for diverse representation. While not necessary, it would be great if actors have had some experience working or supporting people with a disability.
AKARI - 20s-40s female, support worker
1X EXTRA - Male support worker who appears but has no lines scripted
ROBBIE - 20s to 40 Male, Nola’s support worker who has to call an ambulance and administer first aid (PLEASE NOTE: Nola’s scenario involves a choking incident and managing a medical emergency. This will be filmed safely)
ELOISE - 20s to 40s female, Rose’s new love interest, who is either non-disabled or has a hidden disability
TANA - 30s to 50s Female, Rose’s support worker
WAITER - 20s to 50s female/male
JANELL -20s to 50s female, Willa’s relatively new support worker
WAITER #2 - 20s to 50s female/male
People from Indigenous or culturally diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.

Filming scenarios 15 - 19 Nov
Location: Darwin and Alice Springs
Payment: In line with MEAA award rates for actors
