Little Wings is the story of Kolkata-based NGO Tomorrow’s Foundation who supports children from the most underprivileged backgrounds in India to become self-reliant and enjoy their right to a dignified life. Seen through the eyes of five young people, Little Wings explores the positive impact Tomorrow’s Foundation has had on each of their lives.
Little Wings was produced as five separate stories and as one 27-min film. The short shown here is the story of Barkha, an 18-year old woman orphaned when she was very young and left to fend for herself and her two sisters. She now lives in Uttaran – a residential home run by Tomorrow’s Foundation in Chhattisgarh Province, central India.
